There are many reasons why a power outage could occur. Whether the cause is an accident or severe weather, you must be prepared for anything. Therefore, in order to keep your family safe from harm, you need to have the right coverage in order to rebuild after damages.

According to The Daily Herald, about 1,500 Schaumburg residents lost power on Sunday morning. However, most have their electricity restored, Arlana Johnson , a ComEd spokeswoman, said today. She said the customers lost electricity at 10:42 a.m., and all but 280 had power back on by 11:49 a.m.

The cause of the outage remains under investigation, but initial indications are that there was some water seepage into switching equipment. “Apparently there was some equipment that got damaged. We’re working on replacing that equipment to get the remaining customers back up,” Johnson said.
