It’s that time again! It’s the Ninth Annual Tom Heighway Rock ‘n Roll Run (or Stroll). For those of you who have not previously participated,Tom Heighway was just like many of us. He was a father, brother, husband, uncle, son, youth soccer coach, basement musician, carpenter, and a friend. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in February 2003 at the age of 50 and tragically passed away just eight months later. To keep his memory alive, the Run raises money to continue supporting the Tom Heighway Memorial Scholarship that is awarded to students with financial need who have lost a parent. The Scholarship has awarded more then $43,500 (100% raised) in college scholarships to Glenbard West Students, Tom’s alma mater.
